Amongst the many annual rituals we all have in our lives and families, one which has been there  in mine is that of visiting the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Republic Day to see the illuminated building in awe. A colleague of mine from Bangalore stated that you Delhi people have to see so much here, well literally yes, we not only get to see the amazing monuments of this place, but also live the and be an active or rather stationary (of course stuck in traffic) part of the numerous practices and dress rehearsals leading to the big day on 26th January.

What is the best way to deal with an instance or situation which you know could be right for someone else, but not for your ownself. An action, which would provide a solution (maybe?) but then would leave a mark—forever, positive or negative—dont know.

Ethically one should avoid hurting anyone, but what if not hurting someone else leads to giving pain to ourselves?

What should one actually do in such a situation, go ahead and lead to burden the life of another person or bear the pain forever?

Decisions…decisions…they define what course we take and move ahead in life. They surely are a risky proposition if you see. One wrong decision and life can be pretty miserable but then a right decision takes you a long way.

Decisions we make which define our destiny…if your decision didn’t work out the way you wanted them to, in that case it just wasn’t meant to be, but if you enjoyed the journey after taking that decision…have no regrets, just recall all the fun you had-after all you had thought of it to be good thats why you chose it right? Sometimes you know things aren’t meant to be….in that case treading on it wasn’t the best decision in that case.

Things working out or not is destiny,,,but the decision is ours to enjoy it by remembering the fun you had or regret it.

Don’t know if this post makes any sense….just a ramble.

I come and go…but the important bit is that I do come back again..right? Well firstly a very Happy New Year to those who would be reading this (don’t know if there actually are any readers left)

Ummm…the first few posts seem to always put me in a tizzy on what to write…well to start off the year seems to have started off on a somewhat good note (I hope it continues to be good for me and some good things actually do happen this year–fingers crossed)

I am not going to reminiscence on things that happened last year…not great enough to remember and I’d prefer to atleast in this case let bygones be bygones.

The start was great…spent the first day of the year with a close friend…was good fun especially when you are catching up after months…and as the saying goes..what you do the first day of the year continues for the rest of the year..I hope I can enjoy as much the whole year around with family and friends.

To end the first post of this year….Happy New Year…and this year’s resolution…just to be a bit more regular here and not go missing.
