I’m a great fan of the silent mode.
And if someone is terribly persistent I make sure I give them their medicine by calling at a funny hour too.

Forgotten what a long weekend means, when I am in Mumbai that is.
The only time I get peace is in Delhi, when usually I divert my phone to a colleague. Better that way.

I am totally with you..in Dxb,we have Fri-Sat off,and,each Sat,I used to get at least a dozen calls from people who knew very well that I had an off. Finally, I found the solution-keep the phone on silent mode,and check every 2 hrs or so-in case some known person calls.:)Try it.

We have forgotten to respect the privacy of other people’s lives….as others are oblivious to this: the only solution is to not take the calls/communicate the message…The problem stems from the fact that we dont take the work-life balance seriously as a society(Not to compare, but in the western world:personal and professional worlds are water tight compartments)
